I Want To Play It In The Sun, I Want To Play It In The Rain, I Want To Play It Again and Again!

I subscribe to a local FreeCycle list. I figured it could be handy to get rid of some junk, er, gently used items we no longer want or need, and perhaps pick up something neat every now and then. Well, I had messages coming to my inbox for several months, and never really seemed to have anything I wanted to part with. And when there was something I was interested in getting, I was never quick enough! After a while, I just unsubscribed.



This past fall, my desire to get rid of stuff (maybe) and find some free neat stuff (hopefully)returned again. (Perhaps this is some Yin Yang thing, balancing people's junk in the universe?) So, I signed up for the list again. There have been a few things I tried for – and no luck, as usual.

Tonight, however, things have changed!

Someone was giving away several Trivia games, including a Dr. Seuss one. I fired off a reply so fast I almost fell off my chair! I was shocked and awed (in a good way) that I actually was the first to reply. Okay, maybe I wasn’t the FIRST, but I think my line “We love Dr. Seuss at my house, and I even wrote a term paper on him years ago in high school” cinched the deal. (And yes, I did write a paper on him. Fabulous work, I must say. I think I still have it around somewhere.) And it is in great condition – no junk!

Just had to share my success. It’s the little things, people, the little things. Now if I could just part with some of my stuff…..
